Value Aquaculture S.R.L.

Value Aquaculture S.R.L. was founded by German and Suisse investors in 2011 with the intention of sustainably raising finfish for fresh distribution on the island and throughout North America & Canada. We supply the local market in the Dominican Republic as well as customers in the United States & Canada with high-quality Sutchi, also named Swai, from sustainable aquaculture. Our future plans call for a self-sufficient multi-tropic farm in a closed economical system supplied with our own feed, and powered with all renewable energy.

Dominican Republic

LOCATION

Located in the pristine of the Dominican Republic, the natural conditions of Arroyo de Savanna are perfect for aquaculture. The constant trade winds result in stable average temperatures and rainfall year-round. The red clay soil contains low organic material, ensuring clean, clear grow-out ponds.

The numerous ponds are spring fed water from natural source high in the neighboring mountains. The crystal clear water is naturally filtered from the ancient coral bedrock of the mountains, and is constantly tested for contaminants and purity.

Water flows through the grow-out ponds then downstream carrying nutrient-rich outflow to fertilize agriculture, including rice fields and a passionfruit grove. The ever-present trade winds are harnessed by wind towers to power pumps and generate electricity.

This all is a truly sustainable use of these important natural resources.
